It's been a year since the death of Terri Schiavo. There are a hundred blogs out there to give you your fill of information and misinformation about her final days, so I'll say the same things I was saying a year ago:
Have you filled out your Advanced Directive? If not, go to Caring Connections, download the one from your state, follow the directions, fill it out, and have some peace of mind! Even better go here to order a copy of five wishes which is an Advanced Directive that helps you think through your wishes in much more detail than state forms do. It's a legal document in many states and worth fighting for in others. (If it's not legal in your state, fill out your state form, write in that you want your five wishes followed, and staple the five wishes to the state form.)
Seriously, how many times do you have to be told that you need to fill these things out? It takes no time and could save your loved ones from having to make horrible decisions if something happens to you.
